The Beautifications and Cleanups Coordinator AmeriCorps will work to implement and enhance KTMB’s programs and community outreach initiatives. KTMB’s programs are designed to inspire community members and students to be stewards of our community’s land and water. The Beautifications and Cleanups Coordinator AmeriCorps will also work to coordinate, train and recognize volunteers.

Summary

The Beautifications and Cleanups Coordinator AmeriCorps will be an essential member of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s team. In this position you will maintain the high quality of KTMB’s volunteer program including training, managing, recruiting and providing recognition to volunteers. You will empower community members to be stewards of the environment in the Truckee Meadows and work with our education team to facilitate presentations and service learning opportunities for schools and community groups. The Beautifications and Cleanups Coordinator AmeriCorps will also provide environmental outreach to the community in the Truckee Meadows to encourage volunteerism, awareness and appreciation of our natural resources. Finally, you will help implement and maintain KTMB’s new project and data management software and will continue the precedent of high quality maintenance of KTMB’s volunteer registration database. Some weekend work is required. 

KTMB is a private, 501 (c)3 nonprofit dedicated to creating a more sustainable and beautiful region through waste reduction, education, and active community involvement. For over 30 years, KTMB has been dedicated to the beautification of the Truckee Meadows, advancement of a cleaner community and region, large volunteer cleanup efforts, and education that inspires action.
