4-H Program Coordinator

The 4-H Youth Development Center of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System located in Columbiana, Alabama is seeking candidates for the position of Coordinator, 4-H Program Support. The Coordinator, 4-H Program Support will be responsible for implementing and coordinating the goals and objectives of The Alabama 4-H Center’s Science School (4HSS), by training staff, instructing during 4-H Summer Camp, and leading 4-H Science School Groups.

The duties will include: Training teaching staff in Environmental Education and Outdoor Recreation Classes for youth and adult groups at the Center. The incumbent will be our Lifeguard & CPR Instructor for 4-H Center staff. They will also share in responsibilities of animal care when not instructing. Must have good organizational skills to efficiently and accurately maintain records of high and low ropes course use based on ACA standards for all activities and elements. Animal care responsibilities include, daily feeding, watering, and cleaning/sanitation of enclosures. Performs other duties as assigned by the 4-H Center. May also teach some of our offsite, Outreach Animal Programs.
