The Trustees seeks candidates excited about environmental education, agriculture, and summer camp for its network of farm camps in eastern Massachusetts. Full-time and part-time seasonal positions as Farm Camp Educators, Lead Educators, Assistant Directors, Camp Directors, and Culinary Instructors are hiring now! Camp training and program dates range from early June to late August 2025 at our four farm day camps in Ipswich, Hingham, Dover, and Edgartown (Martha’s Vineyard).

Summary

FARM DAY CAMP JOBS in Eastern Massachusetts: 

Do you want to work with an organization at the forefront of saving Massachusetts’ spectacular special places AND work outside educating kids and having a blast this summer? All while gaining valuable work experience in farm-based and environmental education, agriculture, culinary education, and childhood development; plus acquiring skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, empathy, and strong work ethic. 

Trustees camp staff are seasonal employees who play an essential role at day camps for ages 4 to 15 at working farms of The Trustees, a non-profit conservation organization. Trustees staff benefits include free admission to all our 120+ properties across Massachusetts plus program, store, and cafe discounts. 

2025 FARM CAMP EDUCATORS (COUNSELORS): If you are outgoing, have experience working with children, love animals, and are considering becoming a farmer, an agriculturalist, an ecologist, a childcare worker, or other related field, there are exciting options available for Farm Camp Educators at our camps in eastern Massachusetts: 

  • Appleton Farm Camp, Ipswich – Farm + Nature Camp (June 24-August 23 + training weeks) 
  • Weir River Farm Camp, Hingham – Farm Camp (June 24-August 16 + training week)  
  • Farmer, Forester, Chef! at Powisset Farm, Dover – Farm + Cooking + Nature Camp (June 24 - August 16 + training week) 
  • The Farm Institute, Edgartown (Martha’s Vineyard) – Farm + Cooking Camp (June 24-August 23 + training weeks) 

 

OTHER SUMMER 2025 POSITIONS: If you have camp experience and look forward to being a Camp Director, Lead Camp Educator, Assistant Camp Director, or Culinary Instructor this summer, select camps are hiring for these advanced positions.

Compensation Information

Camp Educator positions starting rate is $16.50-18/hour
Advanced positions starting rate is $18-19/hour

In addition to gaining great hands-on experience, Trustees employees receive free admission to our beautiful 120+ properties across Massachusetts, as well as discounts at programs, cafes, and stores.
